does gw really care what we want
they say they listen to there players, i cant see that they do, example this demon mask, wtf is a demon mask doing in a dragon festival and to go on they say its somthing players can use all the time, i got news for ya i wont give up my 60ac +1 marksmanship mask to wear the most ugly thing i ever seen that has less use than my ex wife, least give us a chouce of a stat.... maby a choice if we want the dragon mask or not, i tell ya if they think that is listening to us then there dead wrong, well sorry for the rantings but i would like to hear others views if i am flamed for this then we will know who the real "noob" is...what ever a noob is, always thought it was a new player but i guess i am wrong cause everyone uses it to much

The demon mask has to do with last years dragon festival. It was interupted by Abaddon's minions. This years dragon festival is a reenactment of it, hence the demon mask.

1. Festival masks are purely decorative. You're not suppose to wear them in explorable areas and missions. You put them on in town.
2. A choice if you want the mask or not? No one is forcing you to get the 250 tokens it takes to get the mask. By all means spend your victory tokens on something other than a mask. I was hoping you'd be complaining about something a little more relevant. How disappointing. |

No it doesn't care, mainly because GW is a game and nothing else. This fact alone makes it impossible for it to care about anything.

Newbie= New Guy
Noob= Retarded Guy And yes, the Mask is purely decorative. It was never meant to be worn inside Explorable areas. |

Hexum, yeah, isn't so nice how they bitch and complain about something that is being GIVEN TO THEM FREE OF CHARGE. ANet sure didn't have to do an event, there was nothing in any agreement made between ANet and the players that said we'll give the plays X special events per year.

Of course they care what we want. They want us to enjoy the game they are trying to make.
But they have their own ideas about how best to make that game and while they take in our input, they have to make the decision they think is best for the game they are trying to make. And when you have a few million people you are trying to please, you're going to have fairly large groups who will be unhappy with some aspect of the game at one time or another. But I never get people getting so worked up over the little touches they add to the game for fun. It's always going to be hit or miss due to the diversity of taste. If whatever is offered just doesn't work for you, just say so without questioning the game maker's intelligence or intentions. /endrant (which was not necessarily aimed at the original post) |

Get a grip. Why is it that forums are where ninety percent of people come to gripe? Can't we just make a subsection for every area on the forums called "NEGATIVE PEOPLE ONLY"? Workers for forum discussion and support, UNITE!

Of course Arena Net cares about us. They want to make the world of Guild Wars as best as it can be, even though it will be impossible for everyone to agree on everything in the game... With such excellent support, it is another reason to go purchase the next installment of Guild Wars. Edited - Huh, I hadn't really realized this was a festival-flaming thread you started. What's the point in that? ANet doesn't have to have these in game events that they do, but they have them for your enjoyment. If you don't wish to enjoy them, that's your business. I myself never cared for them. But there's no need to go and put down what they've done. Holiday masks are supposed to be for fun. xD

ok back ot the original post does GW really care bout what we want.
well i say no they don't cause #1 all these stupid weekend updates do is lag the game, it is lagged late in week as they prepare game for new weekend event. the game lags during event as updates are done to fix bugs they made by modifying the program. And the game lags at beginning of week when they remove the weekend even and fix any bugs caused by the removal of even. so to sum it all up the game lags all week long just cause anet likes screwing with the game. #2 they have killed the pvp end of gw with the fow/uw passage scrolls as now peeps don't have to fight it out in HA for favor u can just buy favor now. #3 the stupid weapon inscriptions killed the value of weapons for example making 100k plus dead bows b4 the inscribible weapon update just bout worthless. #4 They say they don't like bots but in reality bots r there main bread and butter cause the go thru and ban 5000 bots and the botters just but 5000 new accounts and the circle continues. #5the games economy was ruined by the forementioned inscriptions and by the release of hardmode making golds drop easier hence more golds hence lower valued weapons. #6changing the drops so that wether u r by urself or with part of 8 in an 8 party member area drops r same so u over all get few drops. and the list goes on. so as i said the only thing Anet cares about is selling games cause once it is sold the money from that client is over so they don't worry bout keeping him happy just bout selling another game to someone else. And yet even with all these screwed up ways Anet is screwing people i will still play cause i got good friends on here.And it is after all free to play once u do have it. Final thought of day. If Anet continues to screw with the game on these stupid weekend events, Which will come first, the release of Gwen or the total crash of GW from all the bugs in the game. |

#1. People enjoy the events and most of use don't experience lag because of them, are you sure it's coming from ANet? #2. Players wanted a way to get into FoW/UW without favor, ANet complied and gave us passage scrolls, and now your complaining???? #3. Awww, does the poor baby have a bunch of bows they were hoarding to sell for a high price? Players wanted greater access to desirable skins, and now they have it. #4. If you have any suggestions on how to deal with them, by all means, lets hear them, till then, ANet is doing what they can realistically do. #5. Allow me to repeat, players wanted greater access to desirable skins, and now they have it. #6. Intended to combat bots, now it takes 8 bots to equal the number of drops a single used to get. Bots don't care whether or not a drop is good or crap, 99% of it goes to the merchant. As for bugs in the game, most of the currently existing bugs are pretty damn minor when you look at them. None of them seem to cause the game to crash on a regular basis so I'm not too worried about your doom and gloom prediction. |

To the OP...
Course Anet doesnt care!! This is just a business venture, to generate revenue, and we've payed for the ride :P Thing is, the reward headgear isnt meant to be an armour replacement. It's just a novelty. Bit of fun to wear my jester hat in the low level areas though. |
